For small room, there's always the Ikea's Tromso loft bed and desk is only $220 (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S59872897/). It' is not as elegant as the kickstarter bed but it is cheap and easy to assemble.
The downside of ikea bed/desk is that when you invite your date/GF over for the first time, it is definitely not going to make any positive impression.
I can't believe how high the expectation is for tv ads. It's just commercial, folks. Did you expect to see it starring Christian Bale and featuring mind blowing CGI and special effects?
As for the new ads, they aren't that bad. These ads aren't for us, geeks. Nope. These are for the majority of population, ie the rest of us. Apple's ad has always been about warm and fuzzy feeling of being human, not about cold and intimidating machines.
Sure, these ads are corny. It's cheesy. lame... But that's why these are so great. Someone mentioned in the comment comparing it to the lame Dell Dude. Yes, it was lame... but everyone remembered him and his line when we mention it. These ads leave permanent impressions in our mind. That's why these ad campaigns are effective. It's memorable, perhaps even embedded in our subconscious mind.
What I did get from the ads? The message is "Mac is great because it comes with support. If I need help with iMovie or Mac or anything else, I can get help from a Genius. We can ask them anything" Sure, it might be limited to talking to some snobbish teenage "Genius" at Apple store, but it's still better than trying to get tech-support on the phone with some guys in India who has no idea what the hell I'm talking about, or bugging children/relatives/cousins who happens to "know a lot about computers" during Thanksgiving/Christmas.
I'm on macbook with nvidia 9400m, only works on Firefox. On Chrome (latest) and Safari, it doesn't show anything. I wonder why WebGL isn't working on these browsers.
These MacBooks have dual graphics chipsets don't they? So does the HP Envy I'm using now. Chrome has a built-in list of chipsets on which it disables WebGL. It detects the onboard Intel chipset as on that list and disables WebGL even though the ATI Radeon chipset I'm actually using at the moment would handle the site easily. I'm guessing it's the same situation on your MacBook.
You can probably manually flip a setting in about:flags to turn WebGL back on. I just switch to Firefox to check out the demos.

My 13" does not: 9400m is the sole GPU. I get the same blackness on Safari 6 despite WebGL being enabled. WebGL works otherwise [0], albeit it seems much slower than before.
I can't get any major networks over OTA, except for channels I wouldn't watch, ie Telemundo, Univision, HomeShopping,etc. I live about 50 miles from SF. It's really frustrating, not being able to watch the Olympics. But I'd hate to go through VPN. Just like my previous viewing of World Cup,I'd have to resort to non-English channels and learn a little bit of Spanish, although their coverage is focused more toward Spanish-speaking countries.
Thanks for the info. I will try that. I am subscribed to Comcast internet, but not TV. I have my fingers crossed. Hopefully I'll get some ClearQAM coming through the coax.
