I spent way too much time doing fancy infographic-style stuff for a video about the 4th book in the Wheel of Time : https://youtu.be/ONs2inKELR0

Meanwhile, Daniel Greene's dodgy whiteboard video has a million views. Don't mind me as I eat these sour grapes...

The term Page-Turner is often misapplied. I rarely find any books genuine page-turners.

The Cuckoo's Egg is the exception. Such a fantastically well-written book! Thanks Cliff!

Probably it's just the same dopamine hits that make things like watching the Windows 98 Defragger soothing.

"This post is an XBOX"

The Apple IIGS version was great!

Another idea for you - search for "booktube" on youtube. Plenty of recommendations!

I've converted my 23 year old Java desktop app to a website.

It's an app to make searching eBay an actual joy. Perform a search, then highlight text to trash or group that term. Then perform the search again tomorrow and it will hide all the stuff you've already seen.

I hate that fade-in stuff. Basically just close any page that does it.

There must be some law about articles proclaiming X is dead. Does anyone know of one? Something along the lines of "Any article declaring X is dead is always wrong and just trying to sell you something"

Dumbest article I've read in a while.

I think the main thing is, these are all green fields projects. (Note original author talking about executing ideas for projects.)
