Stay that way. Your first cigarette will never let you forget it.

“CC” is a great wake word. That is all. The fact that it also bridges the concept of (e)mail carbon copy into discrete agentic permissions, while namemogging their rivals (Claude Code and Siri phonetically) and dismissing Creative Commons… baseless claims.

In the coming age of voice AI ubiquity its prime phonetic property and now it’s theirs to lose.

Oh and having your brand as your wake word might have some downsides… while I’m sure they’ve gained plenty from it they didn’t deserve[1]. In any case I think they would rather move past it for the next generation of home assistant devices.

Prediction: Christmas 2026 will have multiple audio agent products around the tree. Maybe they will just plug in and join the conversation?

1. “Accidental” ‘Ok, Google’ during TV adverts that trigger a wake and audio sample. Ostensibly for closed loop ad tracking. Also, getting to listen into a lot of IRL brand mentions that weren’t a voice command.

All llm api providers should be compelled to return a checksum-like proof of quantization level of the model that served the request. Basic transparency should be the bare minimum.

I’ve been wondering when this will come. The days are numbered for abliterated models to be published on HF I think. Why wouldn’t the government want a central control there?

Everyone’s hand is in the cookie jar my friend. That is the whole farce. Do you know how many keys get handed over to LLMs everyday? IP? Financial data?

Now we have AI exploiting us. Look at us race to digitize everything and feed it into ever rising oceans of context, to build infrastructure for its rapid expansion, confident that we can’t stop because we can’t all stop; we’re just humans. All we have to do is stop. And we can’t. That will end up not in our extinction, but in our ever increasing subjugation, both of freedoms and spirit.

Nope, still just humans exploiting humans.

Talk to people. Most are exposed to “AI” through endless social media slop that has taken over the majority of their feeds, not coding assistants. There are also job fears (not unwarranted, due to how AI leaders talk), and of course the DC issues. It is a weird political block but a very potent issue for some. I know both of my older teens want nothing to do with the stuff.

You should look at Osaurus.

Mutually assured destruction has worked fine for 80 years, why stop now?

Because the risk here is that permanent military superiority may be achievable without your adversaries having a chance to react, which is not the case with atomic weapons.

I don’t know if you’re being facetious, but last time I checked, the world had not been destroyed by glob thermonuclear war.

So yeah, it has worked.

I have developed a highly personalized, local, offline RSI by scrolling through too many articles about AI. It’s mostly in my right thumb.

Sounds like a classic case of Repetitive Stress Injury. You could try balancing it out by using your left thumb to scroll through articles about Artificial Stupidity.
