Before it was social “media” Facebook was a great way to see friends & families updates in a chronological way with very little clutter. Then people began soapboxing, then came the ads, then all the random “interests” they assign to you and it’s completely useless now.

TikTok, IG etc are a little different as they’re actually media streams but I wanted to say that about Facebook - give me what I want on Facebook and it would be a wonderful service.

I cannot relate to liking Facebook because I never did in any of its eras but once upon a time newspaper was a competitive information technology. People would read them on the subway and at the beach. I did this, I am old enough to remember "saving" articles to read when I took a magazine into the sauna.

The same happened to algo-less social media sites.

I made a little script that takes all images in a folder and formats them for my digital photo frame. It knows which have a converted file in the dest and skips them.

And you can certainly tell it the flow you want (and any other constraints) in the prompt.

Marketing isnt marketing in the traditional sense any more, it’s just deceptive stuff to make you buy more

Because we must get what the tech overlords want us to get, not what we want to get.

I got 6 out of 9 and haven’t lived there in 10 years. Felt some nostalgia hearing some of them though!!!

I got 5 out of 9 and have never used the london underground. The repeat multiple choice, a good memory, and me reading that the jubilee line makes a screech in the comments pushed me over that 50% mark!

I got 8/9. Been away 2 years. The ones I rarely used or which don't have obvious "tells" that are hardest. For me, Jubilee is the most obvious - very distinctive sound.
