Without looking too carefully at the box I accidentally bought a pair of Nikes that had prominent marketing about how environmentally friendly the shoes were. Many parts of it were made out of recycled materials, including the insole that looked like it was made out of shredded multicolored plastic. No matter, it was comfortable, so I wore it. Same as you, after 2 months it disintegrated. Now, I refuse to buy anything from Nike. I also check for any over the top statements about using recycled materials.
